Following the flow of breath

benefits of breath
Take a few moments to find a comfortable posture where you can be both relaxed and aware at the same time…as you do, let yourself settle in and settle down…

And as you being to settle in and settle down, let your awareness move from your thinking to your breathing…

Just notice how the waves of your breath move in…and move out…move in…and move out

…Just like the waves of the sea.breaker-1404522-639x972

And as you allow your breath to move in and move out, you can enjoy discovering how your muscles can begin to relax…Begin to release tension…So that your breath can flow in…and flow out….

See how you can allow your breath to move up and down through your spine…

As you breath in, let the breath move up, inside the spine, all the way to the crown of your head…And continuing all the way to heavens above…

And as you breathe out, you can sense the breath moving down through your spine, down through your body, down your hips and knees… Down through the soles of your feet, dropping all the way down to the centre of the earth.

And as you sense the subtle flow of the breath moving and down your spine, you can relax your muscles a little deeper…Especially curious about how you hips can really relax and drop lower and lower…your hips relaxing and opening and dropping down…so you enjoy a beautiful sense of grounding and feeling more and more calm and present…

And from that place, let yourself sense where in your body you most feel your core, your centre… where you feel most stable, most centred just now…

In your belly….?… In your solar plexus…?… In your heart area…?

hand on heartJust sense where the core of that place is, a centre that would give you a deep sense of being with yourself and presence just in this moment…and when you      feel that place go ahead and place one or both of your hands there…very gently…very mindfully…

Letting yourself sense how placing your and awareness there can help you become even more centered…even more attuned…

letting your hand rise and fall with your breath…feeling the warmth of your hand…

…and what kind of breath is that breath there now?

…and is there anything else about that kind of breath?
